Introduction
In time-honored tradition, the INPC 2025 excursion is one of the Conference highlights. It offers attendees the opportunity to catch up, reminisce, discuss, and make new friends in an informal atmosphere, while also enjoying and sampling the local delights.

For the INPC 2025 in Daejeon, Republic of Korea, we are expecting 1000+ attendees, and there is much to see in Daejeon City and beyond. Therefore, we are providing 6 options for attendees to choose from:
- Course R - RAON Facility Tour in Daejeon (14:00-17:00 (3h), max 120 people, free of charge)
- Course N - Daejeon Nature (14:00-18:30 (4.5h), max 120 people, free of charge)
- Course C - Cheongnamdae (private villa used by former Presidents of Korea) (14:00-18:30 (4.5h), max 80 people, free of charge)
- Course D - Donghaksa Temple (14:00-18:30 (4.5h), max 120 people, free of charge)
- Course J - Jeonju Culture (14:00-20:30 (6.5h), max 80 people, the charge is KRW 85,000 or $61)

RAON (Rare isotope Accelerator complex for ON-line experiments) is the biggest science research facility dedicated solely to basic science in Korea, operated by the IRIS (Institute for Rare Isotope Science) under IBS (Institute for Basic Science). From 2024, RAON has just begun to provide user service with the state-of-the-art combination of ISOL (Isotope Separation On-Line) system, a Superconducting LINAC and experimental systems. Visitors could see Korea’s flagship facility for emerging Rare Isotope Science and meet fellow researchers and scientists working here.

Gyejoksan Red Clay Trail

Gyejoksan Red Clay Trail opened in 2006 as the nation's first eco-healing barefoot walking trail. Walking along this 14.5-kilometer-long trail filled with the fresh aroma of pine needles is a great way to get healthy. The Gyejoksan Mountain Barefoot Festa takes place every year in May and additional weekend programs are available from April to October. Visitors can also enjoy a view of downtown Daejeon from Gyejoksanseong Fortress, which was built during the time of the Three Kingdoms.

Cheongnamdae, which means "Cheong Wa Dae in a warm southern land," was once a private villa used by former presidents of Korea. Cheongnamdae became open to the public on April 18, 2003. It is located near Daecheong Dam in Cheongwon-gu, Chungcheongbuk-do and was built in 1983. The total area spans 1,825,000m² and consists of a main building, golf range, heliport, and fishing area. The natural environment surrounding the area has been well preserved, serving as a home to wildlife, including over 143 species of wild flowers and 124 species of trees as well as several endangered species.

Donghaksa is special because this is the first and the oldest existing temple to accept and function as an academic institute for female monks. About 150 monks are studying and practicing Buddhism in this beautiful temple. Every spring, many tourists pay a visit to look at the beautiful blossoms and the interesting histories. The temple hides its fascinating secrets in the cherry blossom tunnel and its ancient, elegant buildings.

Jeonju Hanok Village is comprised of some 700 beautiful hanok buildings, and is Korea's largest, and only urban, traditional hanok village. The village started in the early 1900s around the areas of Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Omokdae, and Jeonjuhyanggyo Confusian Academy - all important cultural heritages. To experience what hanok is like, visitors can either book a hanok accommodation or visit the Hanok Life Experience Hall.
